About! Amrit Udyan gardens are a type of garden built by the Mughals. This style was influenced by the Persian gardens particularly the Charbagh structure, which is intended to create a representation of an earthly utopia in which humans co-exist in perfect harmony with all elements of nature. Every year RB (Rashtrapati Bhavan) official open the annual “Udyanotsav” of Rashtrapati Bhavan for General public visits for 1 month every year.

On 31st January 2023, RB activated the online advance booking for a free visit for the general public. The online ticket booking can be done 7 days in advance and a walk-in entry ticket from the gate is not available this year as a precautionary measure.
Udyan Utsav 2023 – Online Booking Garden visit Days & Timing
- Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan will remain open for the general public from 31st January to 26th March 2023.
- Entry to the Gardens from 28th March to 31st March 2023 will be reserved for visitors in special categories as mentioned below
- • 28th March: Farmers
- • 29th March: Differently abled & visually challenged persons (Visually challenged visitors can also access the Tactile garden on the same day)
- • 30th March: Defence Forces, Paramilitary & Police
- • 31st March: Women and Tribal Women’s SHGs
- The Gardens will be open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry will be at 4:00 PM)
- The Gardens will be closed on:
a) All Mondays for maintenance
b) On 1st & 2nd March 2023 (Wednesday & Thursday) on account of G-20 meeting
c) On 8th March 2023 (Wednesday) due to Gazetted Holiday on account of ‘HOLI’
