Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering also Known as GATE. It is a very popular exam among Engineer students. If a student qualifies for the GATE exam then He/ She shall be able to get into NITs, IIITs, IITs, and CFTIs on the basis of their scores. Candidates have to score either equal to the cut-off marks or less than the cut off marks in their respective disciplines. Moreover, Candidates also have to attend CCMT counselling. This Exam is specially designed to provide admission to the ME/M.Tech/Direct PhD course.
GATE Exam Date and Examination Centre
The Gate Exam will be organized in two-shift (Morning and afternoon). For the morning shift, the exam will be held between 9 AM to 12 Noon whereas the afternoon shift exam will be conducted between 2 PM to 5 PM sessions. So candidates have to reach the examination Centre before 60 minutes of their Exam time. Candidates who will unable to enter the examination Centre before 60 minutes are not eligible to appear for the exam.

How to Download GATE Exam Admit Card
The IIT Kharagpur release the GATE admit card online on their official website on the 3rd of January 2022. They will not send the admit card by post to any candidates. So it is requested to read the following steps so that you could able to know the procedure to download the admit card on your device. As we Know to Admit card is a very important document that your should have while visiting the examination centre. Also, you Have to Carry Proof of ID along with your Hall ticket.
- Candidates have to visit the GATE 2022 Admit card official website i.e. https://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/
- The Gate 2022 website shall open on the screen. Here Candidates will find the link “Admit card is available for download“
- Select the “Click here” link the next step Candidates have to log in by providing an Enrollment ID/ Email Address and password.
- Now fill the arithmetic expression captcha verification then press the submit button. (In case you have forgotten your password then you can also do forget the password on the same screen)
- Now A list of Instructions will appear on the screen, click on the “I acknowledgment” check box and click on the “Download admit card for GATE” button
- Now GAte 2022 Admit card shall appear on the screen. Candidates can download and save the same.

In the Examination Centre they will ask for your ID proof and also do your biometric verification (Retina and Fingerprint) before allowing you to appear for the exam. It is requested to carry your Orignal ID proof along with your Admit card. Also, Carry additional Color photographs of yours in case your image is not clear visual on your Gate 2022 Admit card.
