Recently Medical Officer Selection Board (CAPFs) has opened the application window for the recruitment of Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second in Command & Deputy Commandant), Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant), and Dental Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) posts. This post will be filled in the BSF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP & Assam Rifles. It is a great opportunity for candidates who are seeking defence jobs. All the candidates are requested to apply only through the only mode.
No other mode for submission of application is allowed. Candidates who submit an offline application will be summarily rejected. MOSB Eligibility Criteria

For the SMO, MO & Surgeon job, the Education qualification & Age limit of the candidates should be…

Post name	Education Qualification & Age Limit
Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command)	Applicants should have a graduate degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S.). He/ she Should also possess Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the related Specialty. Also, the candidates should possess a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) or Magister Chirurgie (M.Ch.) or equivalent with three years experience in the concerned Super-Specialty after obtaining the first post-graduate degree. Candidates should be enrolled in any State Medical Register maintained under the Act, and Should have completed a compulsory rotating internship. The Age Limit should be less than or equal to 50 years as of the closing date of receipt of the application.
Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant)	A recognized medical qualification of allopathic system of medicines. Applicants should also possess Post Graduate(PG) Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty. He/ She should also complete of compulsory rotating internship. The Age Limit should be less than or equal to 40 years as of the closing date of receipt of the application.
Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant)	A recognized medical qualification of allopathic system of medicines. He/ She should also complete of compulsory rotating internship. The Age Limit should be less than or equal to 35 years as of the closing date of receipt of the application.
Dental Surgeon(Assistant Commandant)	Applicants Should have BDS Degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. The candidate should have cleared all BDS subjects in the first attempt. The Post Degree work experience will be given preference. The Age Limit should be less than or equal to 35 years as of the closing date of receipt of the application.

Note: Candidates who are doing the rotating internship shall be eligible to apply and appear for the interview provided that if selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment.

The Following upper age limit relaxation is given by the ITBP Department for the candidates belonging to the following categories:-

For SC/ ST cast: 5 year
For OBC candidates: 3 year
For Civilian central Government servants: up to 5 years

MOSB Selection Procedure

The Candidates are shortlisted on the basics of Interview & Medical Examination. Following are the post-wise method of selection.

For the SMO & MO post, the selection procedure would be the same. As per the notification, the selection procedure would be done on the basis of the Interview. All the eligible candidates would be called by the Board of Officers at designated centers to assess their suitability for appointment in CAPFs. The Interview selection would be divided into 200 marks in which they examine the general knowledge and ability of candidates in the field of their academic study and also in the nature of personality test to assess the candidate’s intellectual curiosity, the balance of judgment and alertness of mind ability of social cohesion, the integrity of character, initiative, and capability of leadership. The selection would be done on the 40 percent of the total marks prescribed for interview for all SMO & MO posts.
For the Dental Surgeon post, the selection would be done merit & Interview basic. Firstly the candidates would be called for the document verification. This Document verification phase carries 160 marks. While checking your documents they will give you a score on the basis of Weightage on the percentage of marks secured by the candidate in basic qualification, Advance qualification & Experience. After the score, the merit list is prepaid by the interview team of ITBP. After that, the shortlisted candidates would be invited for the interview round. The interview round carries 40 marks in which they examine the general knowledge and ability of candidates in the field of their academic study and also in the nature of personality test to assess the candidate’s intellectual curiosity, the balance of judgment and alertness of mind ability of social cohesion, the integrity of character, initiative, and capability of leadership.

After qualifying for the interview round the shortlisted candidates have to give the medical test in which they examine their fitness. The unfit candidates will be allowed to undergo Review Medical Examination (RME).

For the MOSB CAPF vacancies, the candidates have to apply online through online mode only. No offline application would be accepted. All the application forms received offline would be rejected.
